Julayo: Equitable Healthcare for All

Join us as we continue to take steps toward a future where access to healthcare is no longer a privilege but a basic human right. Together, we can make a difference.

Our mission is to build healthcare facilities in underserved areas, providing essential services and employment opportunities.

Healthcare disparities continue to affect millions of people around the world, with countless communities left behind due to lack of infrastructure and resources. At Julayo, we envision a future where no one is left behind—a world where every individual has access to the care they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.

We are committed to working with community leaders, donors, and volunteers to make this vision a reality. Together, we can provide not only the healing touch of healthcare but also the tools for self-sustainability and growth.

Julayo’s story is deeply personal. Dr. Funmilayo Bandele, co-founder of Julayo, this mission is personal. Growing up in Akure, Nigeria, she developed a strong bond with the city and its people. After losing her father-in-law to septicemia due to an untreated infection, she became deeply committed to preventing similar tragedies. Alongside Dr. Polk, she is applying insights from one of the highest-rated U.S. health plans to create a sustainable healthcare model. Their vision includes prepaid memberships on a sliding scale, comprehensive care under one roof, and infrastructure adapted to Akure’s unique cultural and social needs.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

we held our first annual fundraising gala, and the response was nothing short of incredible. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, and supporters, we raised over $25,000 to kickstart our initiatives. These funds will directly support the construction and development of our first healthcare facility
